PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE)  
Personal protective equipment (PPE) is anything used or worn by a person to minimise risk to the person’s health or safety and includes a wide range of clothing and safety equipment.  
   
 
   
PPE includes boots, face masks, hard hats, ear plugs, respirators, gloves, safety harnesses, high visibility clothing etc. Employers have duties concerning the provision and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at work.  

 
   

CHEMICAL HEALTH RISK ASSESSMENT (CHRA)


The Chemical Health Risk Assessment (CHRA) is an assessment that has to be conducted by the employer arising from the use, handling, storage or transportation of chemicals hazardous to health in their workplace as required by the Occupational Safety and Health (Use and Standard of Exposure of Chemicals Hazardous to Health) Regulation 2000.
